• FP6 Work Programme

Two draft work programmes that each cover a very wide range of subjects have been published. They are "Science in support of EU policies" and "Anticipating scientific needs"
Description:
Each work programme describes:
-- The technical scope of the programme
-- The types of projects planned and when calls to submit proposals for these can be expected.

• Next ECCAI-Bulletin in January 2003

Everybody is quite satisfied with the present bulletin and it seems important to keep it short and informative as it is now.

The bulletin is sent (directly or not) to members of ACIA, AEPIA, AFIA, AIIA, LIKS-AIS, NAIS, partly in the DAIS Newsletter and partially translated and sent to Russian members.

Everybody read the bulletin on mail but the Html version on the ECCAI website is needed.

Explanations of the lack of information from the ECCAI societies
-- Don't liking to boast and/or spam
-- not very active life of ECCAI member societies,
-- lack of information which could be interesting to all ECCAI member societies
-- lack of clarity concerning: procedure of submitting (please send info to Marc AYEL!)
-- everyone is too busy and there is problems for getting information from the national society members

Proposal of new sections:
-- FP6 news
-- European job announcements also PostDocs & PhD

Comment about the ECCAI website:
Not attractive. Needs a complete relooking. Seems very formal.
